Villa La Angostura
In the core of the Patagonian mountain range, surrounded by lakes,
rivers and an ancient forest, there is a town resembling a shire:
Villa La Angostura.
Its name responds to the isthmus or narrowness (angostura) of the
Quetrihué Peninsula, where it is nestled. It maintains the air, the
harmony and quietness of a mountain village, ideal to relax and rest
with the family.
Lying 45 km. from the border with Chile, and only 76 km from the San
Carlos de Bariloche international airport, Villa La Angostura brandishes
a varied hotel and gastronomic offering suitable for all tastes and
needs.
Its typical mountain architecture seduces visitors when it comes to
choosing accommodation. Over 3,000 beds are distributed along the shores
of the main bays, thus completing the natural aesthetics and a matchless
structure.
Among the main attractions...the Arrayanes (Myrtle) Forest. An
exclusive natural relic in the area that can be accessed on foot, by
bike or on a catamaran sailing across the waters of majestic Lake Nahuel
Huapi.
Sport fishing has a complete variety of special environments, which
position Villa la Angostura among the spots preferred by lovers of
fly-fishing.
Beaches, forests and mountains change their appearance according to the
season and offer a wide range of alternatives to visit the place and get
to know it from very different perspectives. Quiet strolls, adventure,
sailing and horseback riding across the mountain, to mention a few of
the many activities available, comply with the fantasy of "getting away"
on your vacation.
Enjoying the high Patagonian cuisine becomes essential. Villa La
Angostura has been chosen as a residence by excellent chefs and cooks
who contribute their high cuisine standards, thus turning the town into
one of the best international cuisine spots in the whole of Patagonia.
Textures, aromas and colors are combined with the quality and coziness
of its services, thus making Villa la Angostura a tourist destination
par excellence year after year.
